Carter the Great

is my amazing little brother

Diagnosed at 2-1/2 years old with Autism, my family has been able to create an extraordinary life for Carter – staying active has helped him more than anything. We aren’t sure who, I think it was my mom, but one of us commented on how many life skills could be learned from the management and care of a vending machine… and so was born Special Vending.

Our mission is to provide vocational support, both financial and therapeutically to the autistic community.  Placing vending machines in safe, clean spaces, filled with the beverages, snacks and items of the host request and managing the fill and refill of the machines. Currently Special Vending is managing over 15 machines: at factories, warehouses, loading docks, corporate offices, dance schools and studios, physician’s waiting rooms and hospital lobbies.

Stats and Figures

Part-Time vs. Full-Time
